Before this year it was very rare for me to have any problems with usps. but recently i had a package marked as “delivered” 24 hours or more before it was actually delivered. okay annoying/confusing , but not a huge problem. but now it happened again , and it’s worse . i had 5 packages “out for delivery” yesterday morning. they did not come yesterday but they were marked as delivered when i checked the tracking on them this morning. it’s now 4pm and still no mail/packages at all. the thing that aggravates me the most is not the fact that my packages are late , but the fact that they are marked as “delivered” but nowhere to be found. im sick of it. seems to be happening to a lot of people recently , just wanted to vent lol
USPS Tracking down
This is happening to me right now. Its been 2 days since it said it was delivered and I have not received any package. Thats the business or shipper not putting in a pick up request immediately like they're supposed to I have a home improvement store that will amass 15 to 20 usps parcels over a week and then put in a pickup request for 1 package instead of the correct number. 4 times I told the manager people are usually notified when labels are created but they don't seem to care. I showed him one first class package they delayed by 4 days by not putting in a pick up request and it would have made street delivery the following day it was going less than 3 hours away but nah let it sit for 4 days before notifying usps.
Problems USPS customer faces
USPS used to be great, things would get delivered mostly on time sure a few hiccups every now and then but recently? Expect to wait 12 days in an addition to your estimated delivery date or give into the fact that your package will have a 95% chance of being lost or misplaced. As a bonus not only do they include free tracking but they also include free attitudes from all their employees when you ask minor questions because you don’t work there :)
You should go to the post office and ask them to show you proof and the geo location where they say they dropped your stuff off. I cant guarantee it'll work, good luck.
I'm waiting on a fucking engagement ring that was supposed to arrive on Tuesday after i missed it on Saturday, i filled out the slip and the mother fucker keeps putting junk mail in my box, ignoring my slip. I called the postmaster general in Arlington Virginia today after trying my post office where the phone rang for 5 minutes and then hung up.
I am currently looking for resources. USPS managed to deliver a notice to the wrong address four times resulting in my parcel being sent back to Australia. Customer service spent a month generally being unhelpful and insisting they dropped the notes at the right address. They refuse to acknowledge any wrong doing and don't give af at all.
As I'm writing: USPS CS emails me back saying their office wasn't part of the delivery process he really can't comment more on the case? Why the hell was he or that office even "investigating" then??
If anyone has any solid resources besides the absolute worse USPS website that would be appreciated.
Same. I had a shipment marked "Delivered in/at front desk" to an office that contained ALL my identifying information about 3 months ago. Great, I threw away the tracking number and assumed that meant she received it. Nope, turns out she NEVER FUCKING GOT THE PACKAGE & my documents--Social Security card, license, birth certificate, etc--are somewhere lost or stolen. So had to file a police report because like a sensible person I trashed the tracking number once it said DELIVERED.
I'm fucking livid and feel like USPS should have some kind of culpability here but I can't prove it was even sent because it was months ago. Still fuming.
Ordered a bunch of chargers for my lightsabers, and for selling completed ones with charger, and the package went missing. Label created, scanned in in Florida, and then was gone. Customer service was no help, basically telling me to take it up with the seller, but it was clearly a USPS problem. A month after the fact, three inquiries made about the 200$ in electronics, and still no word. Neighbor knocks on door. They were cleaning out their other property next door, and they found a package for me in the mailbox there. The mailbox that was unused, and had been lying on its side on the ground for the past four months. Package was soaked, muddy, and it was clear it had been there for some time. The electronics were ruined, and they were NEVER marked delivered. Took them up to the local office, and since I'd already dealt with them three separate times to them to do literally nothing before then, I just casually walked in, and said "Here's my $200 dollar package that went missing" and dumped the contents on the counter. Including the mud and three inches of water still in the package. Didn't do shit for getting my money back, but it the look on their face when water and mud sludged out was priceless.
